Me2We Social Justice Youth Conference Series

Me2We stands on the shoulders of the Asheville Student Committee on Racial Equality (ASCORE). ASCORE worked to desegregate busses, theatres, restaurants, univerities, libraries, and more from 1960 - 1965.  

In their honor, Me2We hosts a two day conference in June and a MLK Oberservance at the YMI for upwards of 100 middle and high school students.

Each year 5 - 7 UNC Asheville students and recent graduates work on various projects central to the mission of the Center for Diversity Education. For 2015 -16 the positions include:

  • Global Education and Exhibits
  • Social Media
  • Tzedek Resident
