On Wednesday, Oct. 27, Asheville-area Commissioner Harry Harrison, chair of the African American Heritage Commission (AAHC), will offer remarks at a community engagement meeting at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Michelle Lanier, acting director of the commission, will lead a discussion about “The Birth and Life of an African American Heritage Commission.”

This year the festival will be at the new Pack Square Park in historic downtown Asheville, North Carolina from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. Come and celebrate Asheville's Jewish food and Jewish culture.

There will be lots of great traditional Jewish food, Israeli dancing, crafts, a Kids Zone, klezmer music and lots more.
