Houses of Worship: Atlanta Georgia

The day long trip to Atlanta includes a visit to a Mosque, a Jewish Temple,  a Greek Orthodox Cathedral, the Martin Luther King Center for Non-Violence, a Hindu temple, and Dekalb Farmer's Market.  We travel by charter bus to Atlanta.  This program very carefully teaches about religion while not advocating any particular belief system and connects directly to the 7th grade NCSCS. The Houses of Worship trip was included in an article in Teaching Tolerance (Fall, 2001).
