The Center for Diversity Education works with teachers and administrators to increase cultural competency and sensitivity to the diverse populations of our schools.  In-house professional development workshops and field trips are the focus of our professional development programming.  Continuing Education Units are available for educators who participate.

Treasures of Difference workshops are usually conducted at the participating school.  Field trips occur each summer.  Each are one-day trips.  The Many Faces of Asheville trip happens at the beginning of August from approximately 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. The Houses of Worship trip to Atlanta is scheduled in mid-June departing at 5:30 am and returning at 10:30 pm on the same day.  Trips can be scheduled throughout the year by special request.
